If you love to watch movies that make you feel better rather than depressed coming out of the theater, We Bought a Zoo is certainly promising with heart warming comedy and story about a nice and decent family. The film has got a PG rating implying you must take your entire family to see the film together. It is true that the film is predictable in the sense that audience know that it is going to be a happy ending. However, the film is a pleasure to watch with events unfolding to make you laugh in between. Matt Damon fits the character of a widower still trying to cope with life without wife after 6 months of her death. He is playing the role of a single parent to a 14 year old trouble making son and a sweet 7 year old daughter. Finally, Matt decides to make a new start with life as he purchases a zoo and relocates to southern California.
The zoo has around 200 animals and a small staff that is dedicated but cannot find answers to the woes of the zoo.
It is not always that we get to see a funny movie with a loving family that is trying to find feet in a new setting. The film has many funny incidents, but all trying to show how the family is trying to reconnect and come out stronger at the end of the movie.
